I donated a framed picture of this to AIGA Colorado and Project Angel Heart for their annual auction. It sold for $65.00.

Here's a picture of it taken from a really bad angle: [link]

(Original Message Below)

Done in Illustrator for my 6th assignment this year (Spring 2007), called Abstract Notions. Basically we had to take a 3D object, scan it and then put a mask around it, and add, at the most, two filters to the object (which in my case was a pink guitar pic), and at least one special effect (some we weren't allowed to use) to the vector part of the piece (which is the rainbow squared background). This is the product I came up with.

Question: What does it make you think? Feel? (my own interpretation is below, but I'd like yours before you read mine)

Title: Reflection of Life (or, Everything to Me)
Due: March 22, 2007
Class: Illustrator
Grade: 100 (A)

My interpretation: It's chaotic, full of light and dark, transparent and solid colors; there are different plains and levels, a variety of color, shapes, big and small, stretched and restrained, and lines in the object which are free and moveable (ocean ripple), and ones that are more constrained and suffocating (mosaic).... This piece to me... means so much, because in essence, this artwork is my life. I've decided that the title is "Reflection of Life". Muwha. Figure that out for yourself. XP

But aside from the emotional aspect of it... I like it because it's pretty and colorful! ^o^

Comments are appreciated XD
